Located in Nakameguro, Junkadelic is a staple in Tokyo when it comes to Mexican cuisine. It’s very popular among expats and locals alike, so you better book a table ahead!
Despite its shabby front, Junkadelic is a must-try if you are looking for quality and authentic Mexican food. The atmosphere is very laid-back and there are lots of parties going on, so beware, it gets pretty loud at night! If you don’t mind the noise, it is an ideal spot to catch up with friends or for a casual date.
The Drinks
Mojito (838 yen) & Margarita (788 yen)
I expect any decent Mexican restaurant to have great margaritas and mojitos. Junkadelic aced it with its loaded (but not overloaded) mojito and its very spicy margarita. Warning: the spiciness may be too much for some!

At Junkadelic you will find all the Mexican classics: tacos, burritos, fajitas, chimichangas and more.
Beef Burrito (1,186 yen)
I chose the Beef Burrito and did not regret my choice. The hearty burrito was covered in cheese and came with a side of guacamole, sour cream, tomatoes, rice and some bean purée. If you are looking for tasty and filling comfort food, search no more!
3 pieces of Tacos (1,246 yen)
My friend went with 3 pieces of Tacos. Each of them was delicious and generously filled. You can choose between chicken, pork, fish, beef, ground beef and chorizo!
Apple Pie (621 yen)
Junkadelic‘s Apple Pie was not exactly an apple pie, but it was nevertheless a delicious dessert. The warm apple pieces were wrapped in a deep fried crêpe sprinkled with cinnamon powder and served with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. You can’t really go wrong with this combination of ingredients!
Overall
I would gladly go back to Junkadelic for a Mexican food fix. The drinks were a bit expensive, but the food was tasty, filling and fairly priced. If you are looking for a lively spot with a laid-back atmosphere, Junkadelic has you covered!
